About the Role Lumax is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to drive people initiatives while ensuring strong HR governance and statutory compliance. The role will work closely with business leaders and employees to align HR strategy with business objectives, while independently managing key compliance, audit and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Business Partnering – 60%
● Partner with business leaders and functional heads on people-related matters and workforce planning.
● Drive employee engagement, retention and performance management initiatives.
● Support manpower planning, organisation structuring and talent management.
● Identify people-related challenges and provide practical HR solutions aligned with business requirements.
● Drive employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, transfers, promotions, confirmations and exits.
● Partner with managers on performance improvement, employee relations and grievance resolution.
● Analyse HR metrics and provide actionable insights to business leaders.
● Support talent development, succession planning and capability-building initiatives.
● Drive HR policies and processes across the assigned business/function.
● Ensure effective communication of HR policies, initiatives and organisational changes.
● Act as a bridge between employees and management to build a positive and productive work environment.
2. HR Compliance – 40%
● Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory HR requirements.
● Manage and monitor compliance related to PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Shops & Establishments and other applicable labour regulations.
● Coordinate statutory filings, registers, records and documentation.
● Ensure timely completion of statutory returns and compliance requirements.
● Coordinate with internal teams, consultants and external agencies for labour law compliance.
● Conduct periodic compliance audits and identify gaps and corrective actions.
● Support internal and external audits related to HR and labour compliance.
● Maintain accurate employee and statutory documentation.
● Track changes in labour legislation and ensure timely implementation of regulatory updates. ● Support inspections and correspondence with labour authorities, wherever required.
● Develop and maintain compliance trackers, dashboards and documentation.
Key Skills & Competencies
● Strong HR Business Partnering and stakeholder management skills.
● Good understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
● Strong knowledge of employee relations and HR processes.
● Experience in handling HR operations in a manufacturing/automotive environment will be preferred.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders.
● Strong knowledge of HRMS and MS Excel.
● Ability to balance strategic HR initiatives with operational and compliance responsibilities.
● High attention to detail and strong ownership of compliance matters.
Candidate Profile
● MBA/PGDM in HR / Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
● 5–10 years of relevant HR experience, preferably with exposure to HRBP and compliance.
● Candidates from automotive, auto components, manufacturing, engineering or other industrial organisations will be preferred.
● Should have hands-on experience in both business partnering and labour/statutory compliance.
● Strong understanding of employee relations and HR governance.
● Candidates currently based in or willing to relocate to Gurugram/NCR preferred.
