## Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced *Purchase Head* to lead the procurement function for the Aftermarket business. The role will be responsible for driving *₹5–10 Cr+ annual purchase savings, ensuring **100% order execution, maintaining **100% stock availability as per business requirements, strengthening the vendor ecosystem and driving **digitalisation of procurement processes*.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the *automotive / auto components / aftermarket industry* and a proven track record of delivering measurable results across cost optimization, supplier development, inventory management, order execution and procurement digitalisation.

## Key Responsibilities

### 1. Purchase Cost Optimization

* Drive *₹5–10 Cr+ annual purchase savings* through strategic sourcing, negotiations, alternate vendor development and cost optimization.
* Identify opportunities for *cost reduction, VA/VE, price benchmarking and value engineering*.
* Develop alternate sources and strengthen the supplier base to improve cost competitiveness.
* Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQ, lead times and commercial agreements.
* Analyse supplier cost structures, market trends and commodity movements to achieve competitive purchase prices.

### 2. 100% Order Execution

* Ensure *100% execution of purchase orders* within agreed timelines.
* Ensure timely availability of materials in line with Aftermarket business requirements.
* Closely monitor order status, supplier commitments, lead times and delivery schedules.
* Proactively identify and resolve supply constraints, delays and shortages.
* Work closely with Planning, Sales, Stores, Logistics and Suppliers to ensure uninterrupted material flow.

### 3. Stock & Inventory Management

* Ensure *100% stock availability* for critical and fast-moving products as per defined business requirements.
* Drive optimum inventory levels while avoiding stock-outs and excess/obsolete inventory.
* Monitor inventory ageing, slow-moving and non-moving stock.
* Develop appropriate inventory norms and replenishment mechanisms.
* Work with planning and sales teams to align procurement with demand and business requirements.

### 4. Vendor Development & Supplier Management

* Develop, evaluate and onboard new suppliers across relevant automotive aftermarket categories.
* Build a reliable and competitive supplier ecosystem.
* Monitor suppliers on *Cost, Quality, Delivery and Service* parameters.
* Develop alternate vendors for critical products and reduce dependency on single suppliers.
* Drive supplier improvement initiatives and resolve recurring quality and delivery issues.

### 5. Procurement Digitalisation

* Lead *digitalisation of the Purchase/Procurement function*.
* Identify opportunities to automate purchase processes, supplier tracking, order execution and MIS.
* Implement digital dashboards for *PO status, supplier performance, inventory, savings and procurement KPIs*.
* Improve procurement visibility through data-driven decision-making and real-time reporting.
* Drive adoption of technology/ERP-based procurement processes across the team and supplier ecosystem.

### 6. Team & Process Leadership

* Lead and develop the purchase/procurement team.
* Establish clear procurement processes, SOPs and performance metrics.
* Drive a culture of cost consciousness, accountability and continuous improvement.
* Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and commercial controls.
* Present procurement performance, savings and key risks to senior management.

## Desired Candidate Profile

* 12–18 years of experience in *Purchase / Procurement / Strategic Sourcing*.
* Strong experience in *Automotive, Auto Components or Automotive Aftermarket*.
* Proven experience of delivering *significant procurement cost savings*.
* Strong expertise in *vendor development, strategic sourcing, negotiations and supplier management*.
* Experience managing *order execution, inventory/stock management and supply continuity*.
* Strong understanding of automotive components and supplier ecosystem.
* Experience in *ERP, procurement automation, MIS dashboards or digital procurement initiatives* will be highly preferred.
* Strong analytical, commercial negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
* Should have a strong *result-oriented and data-driven approach*.
